Peter's got his suit, now Ally's got hers! 

Her belt and gloves have gemstones that help provide fuel sources for her magic, and they can be replaced for other gemstones with magical abilities, such as transformation based crystals. These can run out of magical power, though, so she needs to keep a satchel of them on her person. She can also use magic without the gemstones, but she gets exhausted very quickly when she does so because it taps into her energy. 

Her cape grants her levitation and limited invisibility. Her best spells involve making other things levitate and controlling the elements to a small degree. The easiest for her to work with is water because of its basic construct. 

Magic works by basically manipulating reality in limited ways. It defies physics and is very chaotic in nature, such as is why Magic Gems aren't used for power sources around the world as often as it would seem. There aren't many Mages amongst humans, but elves and dragons are rich in magic. Magic requires energy to work, so you don't see very fat Mages that often unless they primarily use Magic Gems... or they just eat too much for their magic to sap.

Dark Magic is classified as "magic influenced by excessive amounts of negativity and designed to ruin lives at the cost of the user's humanity." There are many subcategories of dark magic, which I'll explain later.
